National Poetry Month Reading Series with Vince Gotera

Calling all poetry fans! In honor of National Poetry Month, WPL will be hosting a reading series featuring local Cedar Valley poets Rachel Morgan, Jeremy Schraffenberger, and Vince Gotera. Each weekend will feature one of our speakers, ending with a community poetry open mic event on the last Saturday in April. Join us for this poetry-packed four-weekend event beginning Saturday, April 9 through Saturday, April 30!

Last but not least, our third and final guest speaker for the Poetry Reading Series is Vince Gotera, poet, editor, and professor at the University of Northern Iowa. Join us Saturday, April 23 at 10am in Meeting Room AB to hear Vince read some of his work and talk about his book "The Coolest Month". Stick around until the end of the reading to get some poetry prompts to try out for yourself at home!

Vince will be selling his book after the event for $9.95, and will accept cash, check, Venmo, or Cash App.
